I noticed a little shiner in the rear door of my brand new S3! No scratch or missing paint (luckily), so it was able to be fixed perfectly with PDR.

Anyway, I was really impressed with the service experience. I usually drop my car off the night before and drive the E46, as getting loaner has proven to be a headache at in the past. However the guy who sold me the car and had a look at the dent, convinced me to get a loaner stating that “It’s part of the ownership experience”.

I was in and out this morning with my rental (15’ A3) in less than 5 minutes. I picked the car up at lunch and spent even less time standing around than I did when I dropped the car off! They really have it down to a science there. Are all Audi dealers like this?

I have had the exact opposite experience at both nearby BMW dealers, and I used to work as a valet at a Mercedes dealer who was not much better as far as efficiency goes. To be honest the inde shop where I service the E46 and my fiancee’s Cooper S is better than the dealer especially with rentals. Plus the rentals from the inde shop are awesome; (a fully loaded 5 series, a stick E46 330, and a tuned 335 that is faster than my E90 was!)

RS4 for your time.

Every Audi dealer has done that for me. Great service and the loaners are always brand new and loaded.

I think all dealers do things differently. Any idea if the car came with the dent or if it happened while parked? Are they fixing it for free?

It came with the dent, I noticed it as soon as I got home from the dealer on Saturday. I texted the sales guy, and I stopped by on Monday to show him. Yep, the fixed it for free.

That’s great man, maybe someone was leaning on it to much when prepping it for pick up. Hopefully it has a long dent free future ahead of it!

I don’t know about Audi, but our Cadillac dealership is pretty awesome at not keeping you waiting

Our local Audi dealer was notoriously terrible, and the BMW dealer next door isn’t much better. Fortunately the BMW dealer an hour away is faster, cheaper, more skilled, more polite, and even if you didn’t buy a car from them, they will drive a loaner up to you, drive your car back, fix it, then return it to you.

I want that RS4. Glad to hear your dealer experience was not ripping-hair-out-worthy!

Russel BMW of Catonsville (MD) is fantastic. You drive in, hand over your keys and see your service adviser. 10 minutes later you sign for your loaner and you’re out the door. You receive a written estimate via email and you can respond and have them perform the work. I’ve had a 328d xDrive, 328i M Sport, 528i xDrive, and a 328i xDrive thus far.
